How damage reports are processed and resolved

Step 1 – Evaluating the Report

Once your damage report is submitted via the "Report a Damage" section, its content is reviewed. Please note that this section is intended only for issues related to water supply or sewage system malfunctions and the quality of related services.

Step 2 – Damage Inspection

If the reported issue falls within Rīgas Ūdens' responsibility, our specialists will be assigned to inspect the damage. If the issue is outside our jurisdiction, we will inform the person who submitted the report.

Step 3 – Damage Classification

During the inspection, the damage is classified based on its extent, impact on service delivery and quality, and other relevant factors. It will be categorized as either:

An emergency repair task

A scheduled maintenance task

If necessary, the affected area will be secured.

Step 4 – Damage Resolution

Repairs are scheduled according to the damage classification. Emergency repairs are carried out immediately, while all other repairs are planned based on workload and resource availability.

Step 5 – Notifying the Reporter

If the repair is categorized as a scheduled maintenance task, we will inform the reporter about the expected repair timeline.
